  • Age classification for retail versions pursuant to the Children and Young Persons Protection Act (JuSchG)
    If you want to sell computer games in Germany on data carrier to children and young people, you need an age rating which you can obtain from the USK. > more

  • Labelling of edutainment and infotainment software
    A provider may himself rate games which are produced for educational or information purposes if these are not harmful to children and young people. We will be happy to advise you in judging whether this applies in your case. > more
  • Services for providers of online games
    In Germany youth media protection in online matters is regulated by the Youth Media Protection State Agreement (JMStV). Besides games, this comprises all aspects of online media such as trailers, social communities, commercials and payment systems for digital goods. The USK is a key partner for online-companies and offers services like e.g. a spot-check analysis of the overall web appearance regarding its compliancy pursuant to the Youth Media Protection State Agreement as well as a membership including an all-embracing legal protection. > more
